No Spring in Dublin This Year
The tree-coiling
day
scrawls
vague murmurs
of spring flowers
on the granite-
grained
Dublin sky.
But,
spring flowers
are too slight,
easily mislaid,
under
trees coiled
like barbed wire,
over
St. Stephens Green.
