Un-Australian
“After the long drought
and now spring rains
the grass is so green
on hills, valleys
and mountains,”
my friend Di said.
“But it’s too green,
too lush, almost Irish,”
I replied.
“So the new grass
will have to be eradicated
by poisoning
or burn-off
to fit more naturally
into our unique arid environment.”
